Headquarters Naval Doctrine Command (HQ NAVDOC) conducted the Command Appointment and Promotion Examination (CAPEX) Board for eligible officers of Lieutenant Commander rank from 4 August to 18 September 2026. For the first time in the NN’s history, the examination was conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) to assess the professional knowledge and competence of participating Officers in line with extant Nigerian Navy policies and regulations. The conduct of the examination was coordinated by the designated CAPEX Board members.

The exercise was successfully conducted within the stipulated period. The use of the computer-based testing system facilitated the administration of the examination and supported the assessment of participating Officers.
