The Headquarters Naval Doctrine Command (NAVDOC) under the superintendence of the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Doctrine Command Rear Admiral Shehu Usman Gombe has conducted the HIGHER RATES PROFESSIONAL ADVANCEMENT EXAMINATION (HRPAE) for the year 2025.

The HRPAE is a key management tool aimed towards motivating personnel, ensuring career growth and facilitating capacity development in all departments in the NN. The objective of the examination is to ensure equitable assessment of eligible ratings across board, in order to qualify them for placement on the merit-based advancement roster. The examination happened in two categories being Junior and Senior rates.

In line with the vision and mission of the Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla (AM), the examination for both the Junior and Senior rates commenced from 28 Apr – 2 May and 4 – 8 Aug 25 respectively and was carried out in 5 Geopolitical zones in Nigeria being Abuja, Calabar, Delta, Lagos and Port Harcourt simultaneously.
