On Saturday, 21 June 2025, the Headquarters Naval Doctrine Command (NAVDOC) and Naval Dockyard Limited (NDL) jointly held their second    quarter 11-kilometre route march in Victoria Island, Lagos, in line with directives from Naval Headquarters.

The objective of the exercise was to improve both the physical and mental fitness of personnel.

Rear Admiral IC Okpala, Chief Staff Officer, represented the Flag Officer Commanding NAVDOC, Rear Admiral SU Gombe and addressed participants at the event. He emphasized the significance of the march, noting its contribution to operational efficiency and its role in fostering camaraderie among naval personnel and other security agencies.

He also remarked that such activities reinforce military readiness while enhancing the Nigerian Navy’s relationship with host communities, demonstrating its dedication to safeguarding national security.

The route march began at 0600 hours from Naval Dockyard Limited, proceeded through Eko Hotel Roundabout to Adeola Odeku, and returned to the starting point by 0730 hours. The exercise concluded without any incidents, highlighting the high level of discipline and coordination among the participants.
